Description for B&B:
The island of Désirade is located off the coast of Guadeloupe, approximately a half-hour boat ride away. There is a direct boat from St. Francis that takes you directly to the island. The Blue House is situated in Baie-Mahault, the last village before reaching the port for boats. The island is 12 km long and 2 km wide, with only one road on the mountain side that gently slopes towards the sea, while the other side is steep. Désirade is a peaceful and beautiful place that offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. The constant trade winds bring refreshing breezes to the island and into the house. The house is surrounded by a fully blooming garden, which is enclosed for privacy. It is located 400 m from the beach, which is protected by a coral reef that stretches 300 m into the sea. The sandy bottom of the water creates a calm and tranquil pool, covering an area of approximately 15,000 m2. The beach is adorned with coconut palms that provide shade, and the sand is a lovely blonde color. With a pleasant breeze, ample sunshine, and gentle warmth, the atmosphere on the island is one of pure relaxation and well-being.Description for Gite
