Description for B&B:
The charming farmhouse, originally constructed in 1802 and tastefully renovated while preserving its original features, is situated on the outskirts of Chignat, a tranquil hamlet. Surrounded by expansive gardens and adjacent barns, the farmhouse offers a picturesque setting. The meticulously landscaped grounds span 2 hectares and feature majestic trees, vibrant flowering shrubs, well-maintained lawns, meadows, and a thriving vegetable garden. The accommodation includes five bedrooms, consisting of a double room, a family room, two twin bedded rooms, and a single room. Bernie, a professional cook, ensures that only the finest 5-star four-course meals are served in the evenings. The ingredients used are sourced from our own organic vegetable garden or locally whenever possible. Additionally, a complimentary breakfast awaits guests, offering a variety of options such as fruit juice, cereal, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt, croissants, homemade bread and preserves, porridge during colder weather, and plenty of coffee to start your day on a high note.
Adjacent to the farmhouse, there is a small campsite spanning 5 acres of gently sloping meadow, offering 25 pitches. The campsite is adorned with an array of mature trees, shrubs, and abundant bird life, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts (don't forget your binoculars!). For the convenience of campers, there are electric hook-ups available for six caravans or camping cars. Additionally, we have two spacious, fully equipped trailer tents available for rent. Our sanitary facilities are of excellent quality, including a dedicated shower and toilet for disabled guests. We are committed to environmentally friendly practices, with a reed bed system for waste water and a comprehensive recycling policy in place. Guests can also enjoy a games room located in one of our barns, as well as access to a fridge and washing machine.
