With its medieval and Renaissance architecture, including the Keep, the Former Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, the Royal Apartments, and the Chancellery, Loches offers a glimpse into its 1000-year history. In recognition of its cultural significance, Loches has been designated as part of the national network of Towns and Areas of Artistic and Historic Interest since 2000.Nestled in the heart of the Touraine, known as "France's garden," Loches is surrounded by vineyards, gastronomy, vegetables, and cheese. Within a 100 km radius, you can explore some of the most renowned Châteaux of the Loire Valley, such as Chenonceau, Chambord, Amboise, Chinon, and Villandry. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a family vacation, our recently renovated property offers a charming apartment and a lovely studio, combining the comfort of an apartment with the convenience of breakfast service.
The apartment features an entrance hall with a comfortable sofa-bed (160x200 cm), a television with TNT and DVD player. The salon dining room is furnished with a sofa, a library, and a double table. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, induction stove (4 burners), oven, microwave, dishwasher, and various appliances such as a family pot, coffee machine, kettle, and toaster. The bedroom offers a double bed (160x200 cm) and a single bed (90x190 cm). The bathroom includes a separate bathtub and toilet.
The studio comprises a main room with a kitchen area equipped with a fridge, electric plates (2 burners), a multifunctional oven, and various appliances including a steam cooker, coffee machine, moka pot, kettle, and toaster. The sleeping area features a comfortable bed (160x200 cm) and a television with TNT and DVD player. The bathroom is designed with a special shower equipped with a small protective wall and tent, perfect for bathing babies.
We provide several complimentary services, including bed linen, covers, towels for the bathroom and kitchen, as well as baby equipment upon request (high chair, bed, small bath, potty). High-speed internet access, electricity, heating, and water are also included. Small pets are allowed upon request. Additionally, we offer laundry facilities with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a garden area for drying clothes. Other amenities include a mop with bucket, vacuum cleaner, iron, ironing board, and electrical adapters upon request. A hairdryer is also available.
If you arrive at Loches station, we can arrange a taxi service from the station to the apartment or to the car rental garage upon request. We also offer additional services such as lunch packets, freshly baked bread, and croissants from the local bakery in the morning, cleaning service, cleaning products, and taxi service from Tours or Amboise station to Loches, the apartment, or the car rental garage. For a night out, we can arrange for a babysitting service, allowing you to enjoy a romantic dinner or a night at the theater. If you are arriving by car from the motorway, follow these directions:
- If you are coming from the A85 motorway, take exit number 11 for Bléré/Amboise/Loches. Head south on D31 for 21 km until you reach Loches.
- If you are coming from the A20 motorway, take exit number 13 for Tours/Buzançais. Head northwest on D943 for 64 km until you reach Loches.
- If you are coming from the A10 motorway, take exit number 25 for Sainte Maure-de-Touraine/Chinon/Loches. Head east on D760 for 32 km until you reach Loches.
Once you arrive in Loches, always follow the signs for the "Château". Go through the Poitevine Port and you will be on Mail de la Poterie, the higher road of the city. You will see the old houses of the citadel on the left side and the parking at the base of the walls on the right side. You have arrived!
If you are arriving by air, here are the options for landing at different airports:
- If you are landing in Paris, you can take the TGV train from Charles de Gaulle airport to Tours St. Pierre des Corps. From there, you can connect to other airports. You can find more information on the website www.aeroportsdeparis.fr.
- If you are landing in Tours, you can find flights from various locations such as London Stansted, Manchester, Southampton, Dublin, Porto, Marseille, Figari, and Ajaccio. From the airport, you can take a shuttle bus to Tours station and then a train to Loches. More information can be found on the website www.tours.aeroport.fr. Alternatively, you can also rent a car.
If you are arriving by train from Tours or Châteauroux, you can find all the necessary information on the website www.trains-horaires.com/gares/loches. Please note that one of the free services available upon request is a transfer from Loches station to the apartment or car rental garage.
