Idiartekoborda is an old barn from the seventeenth century that was transformed into a charming farmhouse in 1832 and later renovated in 2004. The spacious bedrooms feature exposed beams and stone walls, and each room has its own private bathroom. From the property, you can admire the panoramic vista that stretches from the famous Mont Hautza to the walls of Iparla.Sandrine, the host, prepares excellent breakfasts from scratch, ensuring a delightful start to your day. Her husband Jean-Paul is eager to share his knowledge of the area and can provide you with hiking or mountain biking routes that suit your preferences and skill level.
In the surrounding area, you will find the picturesque village of Baïgorry, which is worth exploring. Just 50km from the coast, you will be captivated by the contrasting landscapes of the impressive peaks of the vineyards and Iparla Irouleguy. Countless hiking trails are available for all skill levels, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the forests and the preserved flora and fauna of Iraty Hayri.
Only 10km away is the town of St Jean Pied de Port, which lies on the route of St Jacques de Compostela via the Roncesvalles pass. To reach Banca Aldudes, follow the route through the village. Upon reaching the roundabout, take the Belexi road (also known as Chapelle Oilarandoi). Continue on this small road for approximately 2.5 km until you spot a sign on the left indicating the entrance to our home's private road access.
