Vallabrègues is a medieval village located in the Provence region, which is administratively attached to Languedoc-Roussillon. The village has absorbed the culture, traditions, and language of Provence. It holds historical significance as the setting for Frédéric Mistral's novel "Mireille," and the poet himself lived there. Vincent, also known as "Vincennes," a basket maker and lover of Mireille, was also a resident of Vallabrègues.
The village has a rich history, dating back to the Bronze Age. From the 19th century until the 1960s, it was known as a village of weavers. Every second weekend of August, Vallabrègues celebrates its feast day with grandeur.
Situated in the charming and tranquil center of the medieval village, with its narrow streets and cool atmosphere, you can experience the peacefulness of Provence nights and enjoy naps accompanied by the soothing sound of cicadas. Despite its calmness, Vallabrègues is conveniently close to famous sites, all located within a maximum distance of twenty kilometers. These include Avignon, St. Remy de Provence with the excavations of the Roman site Glanum, Les Baux, Fontvieille with the Moulin de Daudet, Arles la Romaine with its prestigious ancient past, Tarascon with the castle of King Rene, Beaucaire with its medieval castle of eagles, and the Abbeys of St. Roman (built by troglodyte monks) and St. Michael and Frigolet. And not to forget the remarkable Roman aqueduct, Pont du Gard.

Maravillosa estancia
