Looking for a peaceful and serene retreat? Look no further than La Marienne, a beautifully converted 15th-century priory surrounded by expansive gardens. We are excited to welcome you and offer the following amenities:- Four fully furnished bedrooms, including a spacious family suite.
- A cozy living room where you can unwind by reading, socializing, or simply relaxing in front of the fireplace.
- A delightful winter garden where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast of fresh pastries and homemade marmalade.
Each room is equipped with a hairdryer for your convenience:
- Coquelicot: A charming ground-floor bedroom for two, with direct access to the garden. It features a large Queen-size bed, dressing room, and an en-suite shower with a separate toilet.
- Angélique: A family suite on the ground floor, perfect for four people. It consists of two rooms, both with direct access to the garden. The master bedroom offers a spacious Queen-size bed, dressing room, and a bathroom with a bathtub and two washbasins. There is also a separate toilet and an adjacent bedroom with twin single-beds.
- Violette: A lovely first-floor bedroom for two, featuring a large Queen-size bed, shower, and separate toilet.
- Pivoine: Another first-floor bedroom for two, offering twin single-beds, a shower, and a separate toilet.
As our guest, you will have access to a private car park, four bicycles, a fridge-freezer, a selection of board games and books. We also provide a cot, high-chair, and even lend picnic baskets!
In our expansive 4500m² gardens, you can make use of the barbecue facilities and relax with a refreshing drink on the benches, hammocks, or outdoor table.

To reach La Marienne, follow these travel directions:
If you are coming from Paris, take the A10 motorway and, before reaching Niort, switch to the A83 following the signs for Nantes. Once on the A83, exit at "N°9 Marais Poitevin" and continue on the N148 road towards Niort. At the first traffic light, turn left towards Lesson. After crossing the bridge, take the second left onto "rue de Virée".
If you are coming from Bordeaux, take the A10 motorway. Exit at n°33 and head towards Niort. Follow the N148 road towards Nantes Cholet. After approximately 8 kilometers from the Niort exit, at the traffic light in the town of Benet, turn right towards Lesson. After crossing the bridge, take the second left onto "rue de Virée".
The closest train station to La Marienne is Niort, which is only a 15-minute drive away. If you are arriving by plane, the nearest airports are La Rochelle and Poitiers, both located approximately 70 kilometers from La Marienne.
