Description for B&B:
La Grande Lauzade is a historic property in Provence that was constructed in the 18th century. It was built on the grounds of a former monastery that dates back to the 12th century and even earlier, during Gallo-Roman times. The monastery, once renowned throughout the region, was looted and completely destroyed during the French Revolution. Afterwards, it was sold by the State as a national property. The current house was built using the original stones and foundations. Over the centuries, it has transformed from a farm to a wine estate, and now operates as the charming guest house, La Grande Lauzade B&B. The guest house is surrounded by vineyards that still produce the renowned wine of Lauzade. Guests have access to multiple levels of gardens, including a pool deck nestled among platane trees and a large cedar tree that provides shade. Inside the house, there is a fitness room with a power plate, sauna, and billiard lounge. The basement holds a surprising indoor heated pool. This beautiful "bastide" is located in the south of France, in Provence, near the picturesque and protected environment of "la plaine des Maures", as well as the French Riviera and the wild countryside of "le haut Var".Reviews
