La Roseraie is an 18th century Champagne house that was once a presbytery. Situated in a peaceful village, it is only 5 km away from one of Europe's largest artificial lakes.Our shabby chic guest room is a spacious 70 m2 suite with a private lounge, flat screen TV with NETFLIX, and a library. It offers a charming atmosphere and all the comforts you need, enhanced by the warm hospitality of our hostess.
You can relax and unwind in our tranquil 6-acre garden, filled with numerous extraordinary flowers and plants. The soothing sound of a waterfall and the presence of a koi carp pool will lull you into a state of relaxation.
Every evening from 7:30 p.m., our table d'hôtes welcomes guests, offering French and local cuisine. Some of the ingredients used are sourced from our organic vegetable patch.
Furthermore, we provide bikes for loan, allowing you to explore the 80 km long shoreline of the lake and discover the various mountain bike trails in the vast Dervois forest.

The DER Lake is renowned for its significant ornithological value as a breeding ground, wintering habitat, and migration stopover for numerous bird species, including some that are protected. With three marinas - Nemours, Nuisement, and Giffaumont - all awarded the blue flag label, it offers excellent facilities for boating enthusiasts.Visitors can enjoy various activities such as swimming in any of the six beaches, fishing, and engaging in water sports like windsurfing, power boating, and water skiing. Additionally, there are approximately 250 km of well-marked hiking and cycling trails that encircle the lake within a 38 km radius or connect it to Saint-Dizier via the Marne Canal, spanning 12 km.
The region of Der is also renowned for its charming half-timbered religious buildings, such as the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin in Châtillon-sur-Broué. A dedicated tourist route has been established for exploring these architectural gems dating back to the 15th, 16th, and 17th centuries.
Nearby attractions include the national stud farm of Montier-en-Der, the Protestant Museum, the Romanesque church of Wassy, as well as the towns of Vitry-le-François, Saint-Dizier, and Bar-le-Duc. For nature enthusiasts, the Orient Forest Regional Natural Park, housing a series of artificial lakes designed to regulate the Seine's flooding, is also within reach.
To reach LA ROSERAIE, one can take departmental road 13 from Vitry-le-François, departmental road 384 from Saint-Dizier, departmental roads 153 and 4, and the RN 67 from Wassy, Joinville, Chaumont, and Dijon, or departmental road 12 from Montier-en-Der. The nearest aerodrome is located in Vitry-le-François - Vauclerc, while the closest SNCF station is in Saint-Dizier.
