Description for B&B:

Located on the first floor, this room offers a spacious and well-lit area with high ceilings measuring 23 m². It is equipped with two comfortable single beds that can be easily combined into a double bed. The room also includes a modern private bathroom with a large window, double marble basin, corner bath, and WC. Guests are welcome to use the dining room and reception area on the ground floor. Additionally, there is a bike park available in the cellar. Please note that the second floor is reserved for the owners' accommodation.

Our medieval stone townhouse spans three levels and is perfectly situated in the center of a historic village, right at the foot of the Alpilles. While we do not have a garden or a swimming pool, we offer everything necessary for a peaceful and comfortable night's stay. Furthermore, we provide a satisfying breakfast that includes freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Guests can indulge in French bread, croissants, butter, jams, honey, and more. Breakfast can be enjoyed at any time, and we offer two options: a generous breakfast included in the fixed B&B price with a selection of cheeses and cold meats, or an English breakfast for an additional charge of 6 p.p., consisting of 2 fried eggs, fried tomato, sausage, bacon, and baked beans. Special requests are also welcome.

In the surrounding area, guests will find a range of activities and amenities. There is a supermarket located 700 m away, a fruit and vegetable stand with a nearby bakery just 350 m away, and a delightful restaurant only 270 m away. For those seeking outdoor adventures, there is a renowned climbing site just 2 km away, as well as opportunities for swimming, water skiing, hiking, and cycling. Dedicated cycle paths are easily accessible, and bike rental is available in Cavaillon, 7 km away. Horse riding and golf courses are also within reach. The coastline, offering sandy beaches, can be found 60 km away in the bay of Marseille. Additionally, there are opportunities for wine and olive oil tastings nearby.

Our townhouse is situated near the cliffs of the Alpilles and the Durance, providing stunning views of the Luberon Massif and the Vaucluse, including the majestic Mont Ventoux. The house itself is located within the portico of St. Anne, a historical landmark traversed by Napoleon in 1814. The exterior of the building is adorned with hanging plants, adding to its charm. Orgon, a medieval village, boasts a monastery perched on the cliffs, the ruins of the Duke of Guise's castle, and a magnificent church overlooking the town square.

Transportation to and from our townhouse is convenient. Orgon has its own train station with regular services to Marseille and Avignon. If arriving by car, we recommend parking just outside the city walls and taking a short walk to the property. Bicycles can be securely stored inside the house on bike racks or in the cellar.

As hosts, we reside on the second floor but primarily dedicate the rest of the house for the use of our guests. While we respect your privacy, we are also more than happy to engage in conversation and assist with any inquiries or recommendations you may need.

Appréciations pour La Bégude Des Alpilles, Orgon:

Etapes reposante
Review by: Ferretti, Sep 8 2022 9:35AM
Nous avons fait une belle étape très reposante au début de notre périple. La maison est très agréable et la chambre très calme.
Nous en ferons une autre au retour car les échanges avec ce charmant couple sont très enrichissants.

Directions

To reach the village, head towards it from the Avignon, Cavaillon direction. Once you reach the noticeable roundabout on the West side of the village, take the main road D7N downwards towards the village. After covering a distance of 500 m, do not turn left at the bend, instead, continue straight for 150 m until you reach a mini-roundabout. At the mini-roundabout, make a left turn and go under the portico. Keep an eye out for a flowery facade on the left side, approximately 30 m ahead.
