As our esteemed guest, you will have exclusive access to the former washhouse, where you will find a spacious room (>25 m²), a large lounge with a diverse collection of English, French, and German books, a hall filled with tourist information, and a private entrance and garden. The guest rooms, adorned with elegant antique furnishings, boast high exposed beams and impeccable private shower rooms and toilets.

After a restful night's sleep surrounded by nature, indulge in a delicious breakfast featuring homemade delicacies, served in the lounge with breathtaking views of the park. In the afternoon, after a day of exploring, hiking, or cycling, take advantage of the tranquil ambiance of Joreau. Relax with a book, savor the fruits from our orchard, or unwind in the hammock beneath a majestic old tree.

For dinner, you can choose to dine in one of the delightful nearby restaurants or opt to stay at Joreau. We offer a gourmet plate with wine and coffee upon prior arrangement, or you can utilize our basic kitchen facilities in the lounge.

Our ensuite room, "Cremant de Loire," is perfect for a relaxed family holiday, with one double and one twin room and a private shower room. "Saumur Champigny" provides ample space (26 m²) for you to feel at home. The comfortable beds, measuring 0.90 x 1.90 m, can be arranged as one king-size bed or two singles, ensuring a restful and rejuvenating sleep. The tasteful decor is complemented by an antique wardrobe and two armchairs. The private bathroom, with a separate toilet, has been newly renovated at the beginning of this year.

Description for Gite

The Farm of Joreau is a charming countryside retreat, offering modern comforts and cozy decoration within a traditional architectural setting. With its touffe stone, slate, terra cotta tiles, old wood parquet, and ceiling, this spacious 72 m² farmhouse comfortably accommodates 4-5 persons.

Completely renovated in May 2006, the house boasts a delightful south-facing terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, the property includes a private 800 m² garden with splendid views of the surrounding woods. Children will have their own sandbox and swing to play on, while you can unwind with a glass of wine.

Upon entering the farmhouse, you will find a cozy living room complete with a fireplace. Moving forward, there is a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs, under the charming roof, there are two bedrooms (one with a double bed measuring 160*200 cm and another with twin beds measuring 80*200 cm), as well as a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The beds will be prepared for your arrival, and if needed, a baby cot and high chair can be provided upon prior arrangement. Firewood is also available free of charge.

Located in the enchanting village of Gennes, on the border of the Loire, the farmhouse is conveniently situated just 15 km (<10 miles) from Saumur and Doué-la-Fontaine, and 30 km (<20 miles) from Angers. Shopping facilities are less than 1 km (0.5 miles) away and open 7 days a week.

Situated in the heart of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine regional nature reserve, the Farm of Joreau is an ideal base for exploring the rich cultural, gastronomic, and natural wonders of the region. Whether you enjoy hiking or biking, you will appreciate the fact that the Domaine de Joreau is directly located on the long-distance path GR3 and the Loire Valley bike trail.

Nous avons fait une halte sur la Vélo-Francette en septembre. Parmi tous nos gîtes d'étape, celui-ci est notre coup de cur! Un accueil aux petits soins, une chambre magnifique et confortable, le calme très apprécié, ainsi que les bons petits plats de Petra, c'était le paradis (sans exagérer!)! Nous recommandons car personne ne peut être déçu dans cet endroit qui ne demande qu'à être plus connu!
C'est tout de suite jugé, j'y retourne chaque année !

Découvert pas hasard sur Internet, nous y retournons chaque année depuis 2008 pour un court séjour. C'est un endroit vraiment agréable, tant par le lieu, le confort et l'accueil, où il n'y a jamais rien à redire. Si vous passez par là, n'hésitez pas une minute.

Wir haben mit unseren Kindern 2 wunderschöne Tage bei Fam. Schewe verbracht. Der Empfang ist ganz persönlich, Frau Schewe hat uns sehr gute Tipps zum Weinkauf gegeben und die Kinder hatten sofort Anschluss.
Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll ausgestattet, das Frühstück eine schöne Mischung aus franz. und dt. Art und der Garten lädt einfach zum Entspannen ein.

Directions

To reach your destination, take the A85 highway and take exit number 1 labeled "Beaufort-en-vallée". Follow the signs for "Les Rosiers-sur-Loire".
