Description for B&B:

Le Gaudin is a charming 18th-century farmhouse that has been beautifully transformed into a luxurious 5 bedroom bed and breakfast. Nestled in the picturesque valley of Suisse Normande, the house is situated on the grounds of a historic Abbey, surrounded by enchanting woodlands. In the past, pilgrims on their way to Mont-St-Michel would stop at the stream in the serene wooded area to fill their bottles. Le Gaudin holds a special place in the hearts of its visitors.

While preserving the original character of the farmhouse, we have enhanced and restored it to cater to the needs of today's discerning travelers. Every aspect of the house reflects the creativity and charm of the region, from the exposed stone walls to the magnificent fireplace. The long dining table, where guests gather for our delightful and convivial dinners, further adds to the unique ambiance of Le Gaudin.

Situated on a spacious 4 acre property with lush lawns and its own lake, Le Gaudin offers a tranquil setting surrounded by woodland. The peaceful environment allows you to listen to the melodic songs of the birds and, in autumn, witness the horse chestnuts releasing their conkers. Furthermore, the absence of light pollution provides an exceptional opportunity for stargazing.

Each bedroom at Le Gaudin is like a luxurious suite, offering ample space, en-suite bathrooms, and breathtaking views. Every room has its own distinctive style and details, which not only ensure your comfort but also immerse you in the local way of life.

Whether you desire to unwind by the grand log fire with a glass of Calvados, curl up with a book on our cozy sofas, or enjoy a delightful meal and engaging conversations at our expansive dining table, Le Gaudin promises an unforgettable experience. The property also boasts a collection of WWII artifacts and captivating picture books, providing endless exploration opportunities.

At Le Gaudin, we believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we take this fact seriously. Every morning, we offer a generous selection of fresh breads, pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, and yogurts for you to savor. Additionally, a variety of juices, tea, and coffee are available to complement your meal.
