To enhance your stay, we offer breakfasts featuring fresh and locally sourced products that will surely satisfy your taste buds.

Welcome to "Au fil de l'eau", our charming 17th-century cottage that has been completely renovated to provide a delightful retreat. Located just a few kilometers from the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Carcassonne and Canal du Midi, our gite offers a truly enchanting setting.

Situated at the entrance of Montolieu, a picturesque book village nestled beside a river, this characterful cottage boasts a cozy living/dining room with a fireplace and a comfortable sofa bed. The fully equipped kitchen features a stunning vaulted ceiling and a large bay window that opens onto a sunny terrace of 30m2. From here, you can enjoy magnificent views of the river and garden.

With two double bedrooms, one with a 1.60m bed and the other with a 1.40m bed, as well as a bathroom with an antique bathtub, Italian shower, and WC, our gite offers comfortable accommodation for your stay. Additionally, we provide free WIFI, a barbecue on the terrace, and access to a swimming pool and boules balls. For those interested in fishing, trout fishing is also possible on-site.

If you're looking to stay active, there is a municipal swimming pool and tennis courts just 1km away. And with shops and restaurants within 300m, everything you need is conveniently close by.

For a unique way to explore the region, we offer the use of one of our 2CV cars. These convertible vehicles allow you to discover the area in an authentic and enjoyable way. We even provide a suggested route to help you make the most of your adventure.

Je conseille vivement de passer des vacances chez Sabine et Bart. La maison est atypique. La terrasse est enivrante. La nature est exceptionnelle.
Sabine nous reçoit à merveille. Tout est prêt dès notre arrivée. Pour bien commencer les vacances, elle nous reçoit avec une petite attention. Sabine est toujours à l'écoute pour trouver une solution (location de voiture) et propose des activités intéressantes.
A ne pas manquer.

Directions

To get to Toulouse from Carcassonne, take the RN113 and pass through Pezens. Afterward, make a right turn towards Moussoulens. At the roundabout in Moussoulens, continue in the direction of Montolieu. Once you reach Montolieu, follow the signs for Alzonne. The house you're looking for is located a short distance ahead, on the left side of the road, just before the bridge.
