Globetrotter B&B is situated in the heart of Catania's historical center, right next to the old fish market known as "A Piscaria". It is only 100 meters away from Duomo Square, where you can find the cathedral and the famous elephant statue. Additionally, Ursino Castle is located behind the B&B, while further down the street you will find the Greek theater, Roman amphitheater, and the renowned Via Crociferi, which is home to Bellini's Residence.
If you head towards Duomo Square, you will come across Via Etnea, a street filled with beautiful churches from the late baroque period (a UNESCO World Heritage site). This area offers great shopping opportunities during the day and vibrant nightlife throughout the year.
The B&B is conveniently situated 5 km away from the airport, 1 km from the railway station, 300 meters from the port, 700 meters from the beach, 30 minutes from Etna, 40 minutes from Taormina, and 60 minutes from Siracusa.
To reach the historical center by car, simply follow the map provided, which will guide you to Duomo Square, Ursino Castle, and Pesqueria. We recommend arriving at the B&B after 13:30 to avoid any parking issues, as the fish market closes at that time.
If you arrive at the airport, there is a bus departing every 20 minutes between 5:00 and 24:00 that will take you to the city center. The journey should take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at Duomo Square and then head to Mazzini's Square before reaching Via Auteri 40-Vicolo della Lanterna 14, which is just a 5-minute walk away.
From the railway station, you will need to take a bus (431-439-427), which will bring you to Duomo Square in 10 minutes. From there, proceed to Mazzini's Square and then make your way to Via Auteri 40-Vicolo della Lanterna 14, which is a short 5-minute walk.
