Description for B&B:
Welcome to "Le Clos des Pierres Rouges," located in the beautiful Country Vellave. Sylvie and Thierry invite you to experience comfort and refinement in a serene green setting. The story of this charming establishment began with Sylvie and Thierry's deep admiration for Haute-Loire. After extensive travels, they decided to settle in Rougeac and transform a grand building into luxurious 4-star guesthouses. The blend of traditional and contemporary design creates an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. The strategic location of "Le Clos des Pierres Rouges" is a major advantage, situated between the famous road of Santiago de Compostela, the picturesque Gorges of Allier, and the route of the Animal of Gévaudan.
On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, adjacent to the dining room where you can enjoy delicious meals made with local products (reservation required) or indulge in a hearty breakfast. The decoration reflects Sylvie and Thierry's worldly travels, featuring objects from various countries.
The first floor offers three beautifully themed rooms for your comfort. The "Tea Time" room boasts a tastefully decorated queen-sized bed and a stunning ensuite shower room. The "Pondichéry" room, adorned in red and white tones, also features a queen-sized bed. Lastly, the "Vellave" room, designed to accommodate guests with reduced mobility, includes a spacious and accessible ensuite shower room. This charming room also boasts a covered terrace with breathtaking views of the Mounts of Margeride and Lozère.
Outside, you can take advantage of the large grounds and the magnificent terrace. Horse riders are also welcome to stay.
For your convenience, services and convenience stores can be found in Saint Privat d'Allier, approximately 4km away. There are also plenty of leisure activities to enjoy in the area. The Allier River, just 7km away, is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts, water sports lovers, and swimmers. The region is also known for its abundant mushroom picking opportunities. Walkers on the road to Santiago de Compostela can benefit from transfers to and from Saint Privat d'Allier. Delicious picnic baskets can be arranged for your convenience. Finally, for snow enthusiasts, the small resort of Vernet, located 5km away, offers excellent ski slopes and the opportunity to go snowshoeing.
