Description for B&B:
Located near the Monts d'Ardèche Regional Park and just an hour away from the breathtaking gorges of Ardeche and the Chauvet cave, you will find the charming Little Convent of the Benedictines. This historic building, built in 1346 by Lord Bermond of Anduze, is situated on the outskirts of Chomérac, in the heart of the fertile Payre Valley. Surrounded by the majestic mountains and the basaltic Coiron Grads limestone, this area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with countless trails waiting to be explored - and the owners are more than happy to assist you in discovering them. The village of Chomérac itself perfectly embodies the unique character of the Ardèche region, with its proximity to the Rhone Valley adding an extra touch of charm. Nearby, you will find the quaint hamlet of Taverna, the enchanting Romanesque church of St-Martin-le-Supérieur, the stunning Lavezon Valley, and the captivating villages of Meysse and Saint-Vincent-du-Barres.
During your stay at the Little Convent or its annexes, which are conveniently located just 800m from the village center and its shops, you can enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the river Véronne, surrounded by the artistic creations of the owners - an actress and artist, as well as a doctor and sculptor. The accommodations offer double rooms with ensuite bathrooms and toilets, ensuring refined comfort and tranquility. A generous breakfast is included in your stay, and if desired, dinner can be arranged for an additional fee of 25 per person.
For ultimate relaxation, the property also features a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, which can be reserved for private use. As for the accommodations, there are several options available. The first is a 25m² room located in the annexes above the pool, accessible via a staircase of ten steps. This room offers a large bed, a bathroom with a shower and toilet, and a peaceful view of the gardens. The second option is a 45m² room, also located in the annexes above the pool, with the same staircase access. This room features a large bed, vaulted ceilings, and the possibility of accommodating two additional beds for an extra charge. It also has a bathroom with a shower and toilet.
Lastly, within the convent itself, on the upper floor, there is a charming vaulted room measuring 15m². This room offers a large bed and an adjoining bathroom with a shower and toilet, overlooking the serene inner courtyard.
Parking is available free of charge in the garden, but for those who prefer added security, a closed garage is available for an additional fee.
