Directions from Cancun Airport to Villas DeRosa:
Upon leaving Cancun Airport, head east for one mile. Look for highway #307, the only highway running north and south from Cancun to Tulum. Turn right (south) onto #307 and continue for approximately 65 miles (about 100 kilometers) until you reach the bays of Akumal.
As you drive, you will pass through Puerto Morelos, a pueblo with one gas station and several speed bumps (known as "topes") on the highway. Keep a lookout for these speed bumps as they can cause damage to your vehicle if not approached carefully. After Puerto Morelos, you will reach Playa Del Carmen, which is 20 miles further south and offers more gas stations and traffic lights. If you need to stop at a larger grocery store, stay in the right lane section and towards the end of the city, you will find a Soriana Mall across from Sam's Club.
Continue south for an additional 12 miles and you will pass the golfing community of Puerto Aventuras, where you will find two more gas stations. Be cautious of speed bumps near the people crossing bridge in this area.
The last 12 miles of your journey will take you to Akumal. The first Akumal exit you will see is "Playa Akumal," but Villas DeRosa is located 2 miles further south at the exit for Aventuras Akumal. Look for a green road sign above the road that says 'Villas DeRosa Resort'. Take the left exit at Aventuras Akumal, where you will also see the name Aventuras Akumal in green letters on the entrance wall. It is important to pass our entrance and drive a bit further south before reaching the bridge of Bahia Principe, where you will find a highway turn area. Here, turn around and head back north towards Aventuras Akumal.
Once you have entered Aventuras Akumal, follow the dirt road for approximately 1/4 mile. The road will make a 90-degree turn to the left, and you will start seeing houses on your right. Villas DeRosa is located on the center lots numbered 35, 36, and 37. Look out for our signs indicating our condos, restaurant, roof top bar, beach bar, and office.
