Originally a part of the historic "Bois Bard" woods, this property was once owned by M.Fouquet, the financial minister of Louis the 14th, King of France. In the 19th Century, the second and third floors were added, and during this time, the esteemed author Honoré De Balzac was a frequent guest, invited by the owner.
