Our guesthouse offers stunning views of the charming village of St Symphorien de Mahun, nestled in the beautiful Ardeche Mountains.This 19th century stone house features 6 rooms that can accommodate 2 to 4 people, each equipped with a private bathroom and toilet. Inside, you'll find a spacious dining room measuring 100m2 with a cozy fireplace, a library, an astronomical telescope, and several comfortable lounges.
Outside, there is a swimming pool, MTBs (mountain bikes), a swing and slide for kids, and a shaded terrace where you can relax and enjoy the magnificent mountain views. During the summer, we provide a refrigerator, table, and chairs for your picnic needs.
Catherine & Christophe, our hosts, prepare generous meals inspired by Mediterranean cuisine. They use fresh and high-quality products sourced from local markets and small producers. We take pride in the quality of our services and products, and our guests appreciate the beauty, tranquility, and friendly atmosphere of our location.
One of our specialties for breakfast is our homemade jams, which come in 70 different varieties and are made with a mix of fruits, spices, honey, and flowers.
For leisure and activities, we offer a range of options at La Chastanha. These include swimming in our pool, using our MTBs, stargazing with our astronomical telescope, enjoying a massage in our salon (see our wellness massage index), and exploring the hiking trails with the help of our hiking maps.
Our village is also a starting point for marked hiking paths, and it boasts two medieval churches as well as the ruins of Mahun castle.

1. Take the A7 highway and exit at ANNONAY-ST RAMBERT OF ALBON, just after VIENNA(VIENNE).
2. Follow the signs towards ANNONAY and SATILLIEU-LA LOUVESC.
3. In SATILLIEU, take a right onto the small road leading to ST SYMPHORIEN DE MAHUN.
If you are coming from the South:
1. Take the A7 highway and exit at SILVERING THE HERMITAGE.
2. Follow the signs towards St Vallier.
3. In St Vallier, cross the bridge towards Sarras.
4. Continue following the signs towards Satillieu.
5. In Satillieu, turn right following the indication for St Symphorien de Mahuns.
