Originally constructed in 1784, it has recently been tastefully renovated to provide a superior level of accommodation, while still preserving its authentic period features.

Description for Gite
This cottage has undergone a complete renovation to ensure a high standard of quality throughout. With careful attention to detail, many charming period features have been incorporated into its décor, creating a lovely ambiance that invites relaxation and allows guests to fully appreciate the tranquillity of the surroundings.Featuring two bedrooms, each with their own en-suite and private toilet, this property offers comfort and privacy. With advance notice, one of the bedrooms can be arranged with either two single beds or one double bed, accommodating various sleeping arrangements. Located on the ground floor, these bedrooms remain cool even during the hottest summer months, while offering magnificent south easterly views down the valley.
On the second floor, guests will find a spacious lounge, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen, providing everything needed for a stress-free holiday experience.
For outdoor enjoyment, the cottage boasts a decked area at its upper entrance, where guests can indulge in al fresco dining, barbecue, and secluded sunbathing. Additionally, a shaded part of the garden features a games area with activities such as badminton, swingball, outdoor chess, and swings, ensuring entertainment for all ages.

To reach your destination, follow these travel directions:
If you are coming from the A20, exit at Brive and continue on the A89 towards Perigueux. Take the exit for La Bachellerie/Thenon (Junction 17). At the roundabout at the motorway exit, turn right towards Perigueux. Continue on this road until you reach the second roundabout. Take the first exit, which is signposted for Saint Rabier/Hautefort (D 704). Follow this road through Saint Rabier for approximately 11.5 km towards Hautefort.
Look out for an arial mast on your left, about 1 km before reaching ST Agnan. Take the road on the left, opposite the Hotel Perigord Noir, which is signposted for Maumont. Stay on this road and keep to the left. After 200m, the road will descend for approximately 1.5 km. At the bottom, you will reach a crossroads with a sign for Maumont. However, you need to make a sharp right turn for Les Chareaux. Mirabelle is the first house on the left, situated above the road with a large wooden terrace.
Please note that on some maps and GPS systems, Maumont may be spelled as Momon.
If you are coming from Bordeaux along the A89, continue in the direction of Brive La Gaillarde until you reach the exit for La Bachellerie/Thenon (Junction 17). From the roundabout at the motorway exit, follow the same directions as mentioned above.
